California's fresh grape industry is made up of approximately 550 farmers.

California produces 98 percent of the fresh grapes grown in the United States.

Per capita consumption of fresh grapes in the U.S. is between 7 and 8 pounds per person and about a third of the crop is exported to more than 50 countries worldwide.
